I've been home now for nearly four days. That means I should have had three blissful nights of sleep to make up for the sleep-deprived bout of mayhem that was my trip. Except that I haven't been able to sleep for more than five hours at a time. Which is about the same amount of sleep I got on my trip on the nights I actually slept. The problem is that on the trip I got at least one 2-hour nap in during the day (during the drives) to offset the sleepless daze.
And now a normal workday is proving to be a brutal, brutal thing.
I've heard that you can expect to need one day of adjustment time for every timezone you cross. Well, on my trip home I crossed nine timezones. So by next Wednesday things should be just peachy, thank you very much.
Ugh.
The kicker is that I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Life needs a bit of inconvenience at times to keep it interesting, don't you think?
Anyhoo. New photostream uploaded to flickr - so check out the photo gadget thing to the upper right of the blog for pix. Descriptions and stories to come soon. I promise. As soon as I locate my brain.
